About Exam

The CDA Program includes three Levels of exam that are offered in the test center of CDA Institute.

You may register for one exam at a time. Once you had received your exam results, you would register for the next one. If you failed in an exam, we suggest you use your exam results to guide your studies and re-take the exam.

Exam Content:

Level I：Business Analyst . Specifically refers to government, finance, telecommunications, retail and other industries front-end business personnel; engaged in marketing, management, finance, supply, consulting and other operational staff; non-statistical, computer professional         background into the zero-based line and switch of people. The people who need to master Basic knowledge and comprehension on the Statistics, Probability and Mathematical Statistics. Skillfully use one of a common tools(Excel or SPSS or SAS). Processing and analysis of Data, Logic business report.

Level II：Modeling Analyst. More than two years of work experience in data analysis or pass the CDA Level I exam more than six months. Specifically refers to government, finance, telecommunications, retail ,Internet, e-commerce, medicine and ect. industry in Data Analysis and Data Mining.On the basis of CDA Level I ,required to master the  basic knowledge of Multivariable Statistics, Time Series, DM,and master advanced data analysis methods and DM algorithms,skillfully use one of a statistic tools like SPSS, SAS, Matlab, R, etc. familiar applicable SQL access to corporate databases, combined with business, from the massive amounts of data to extract relevant information from different dimensions modeling analysis, the formation of logical and can reflect the overall data mining process of data analysis.

Level III：Data analysis expert. More than five years of work experience in data analysis or pass the CDA Level II exam more than six months. Specifically refers to engage in various industries, the integration of the whole enterprise data assets, management professionals, user-oriented data to create different products and decision-making, generally refers chief analyst (CA). Data analysis expert need to know all the theory and technical requirements of CDA Level Ⅱ, but also to understand computer technology, software development technology, big data analysis method for enterprise architecture and strategic analysis, to lead the team to achieve effective integration and management of data with different themes. Has keen insight and judgment about Industry, business, technology, provide data to support all aspects of business development.

The examination time:

Twice a year. The last Saturday in June and December.

Test details:

For each level, the exam is usually divided into 2 parts. One is objective quetions, and the other is subjective 

questions. The exam usually lasts 4 hours.
